About EDS Appraisal Services


Eric Smith, owner of EDS Appraisal Services, lives in southern New Hampshire with his wife and children.  As a licensed Realtor, he sold real estate in southern New Hampshire from 1995 to 1998, making the move to appraising in the middle of 1998. Also he worked as a closing agent for a local title company on an as needed basis from 1997 to 1999. He made the decision to devote 100% of his attention to the appraisal business toward the end of ’99.

 

This combination of experience has given him a unique perspective on the market. It has also provided him the opportunity to build lasting relationships with both local Real Estate agents and lenders, which have proven to be a valuable asset.

 

Eric worked for two other appraisal companies before going into business for himself and starting EDS Appraisal Services in October of 2007. This decision was based on changes in the market and a desire to have more control over the lenders he works with.  It has proven to be a good move, both for him and his family.

 

All calls to his office will be answered and/or returned by him. There are no other appraisers and no research is done by trainees. Every appraisal gets 100% of his attention and is considered to be a direct reflection on him.  Any questions or concerns will be address thoroughly.  No one is served by a poor appraisal; an undervalued home is just as much of a problem as an overvalued home.
